2 Chronicles 30

30 ¹Hezekiah send word go all Israel and Judah, and e write letters go Ephraim and Manasseh, say make dem come the house of our Papa for Jerusalem come keep the Passover for our Papa, the God of Israel. ²The king, im officials, and the whole assembly for Jerusalem don gree say make dem keep the Passover for the second month, ³because dem no fit keep am that time, since na small small priests bin make demself holy and the people never gather for Jerusalem. ⁴This plan look correct to the king and to the whole assembly, ⁵so dem send proclamation go every side for Israel, from Beersheba reach Dan, say make the people come Jerusalem come keep the Passover for our Papa, the God of Israel; because dem never keep am together for plenty number as dem write am.

⁶The messengers waka go all Israel and Judah with letters from the king and im officials, as the king command am: “Una pikin of Israel, make una return come meet our Papa, the God of Abraham, Isaac, and Israel, so that e go fit return come meet the remnant of una wey survive and comot for the power of the kings of Assyria. ⁷No be like una fathers and una brothers, wey no bin faithful to our Papa, the God of their fathers, so e make dem turn to waste land, as una dey see am. ⁸No hard una neck like una fathers; give unaself to our Papa and come im sanctuary, wey e set apart forever, and serve your Papa, so im hot vex go turn comot from una. ⁹Because if una return come meet our Papa, una brothers and una pikin dem go find tender mercy wey dey pain belle from the people wey carry dem go, and dem go return come this land. Because your Papa dey full of grace and mercy; e no go turn im face comot from una if una return come meet am.”

¹⁰The messengers waka from town to town through Ephraim and Manasseh reach Zebulun, but the people laugh dem and dey mock dem. ¹¹Even so, some people from Asher, Manasseh, and Zebulun humble demself and come Jerusalem. ¹²The hand of our Papa dey for Judah too, e give dem one heart to do wetin the king and officials command by the word of our Papa.

¹³Plenty plenty people gather for Jerusalem come keep the Feast of Bread Without Yeast for the second month. ¹⁴Dem start work and comot the altars for Jerusalem, and dem carry away all the incense altars, throw dem inside the Kidron Valley. ¹⁵Dem kill the Passover lamb for the fourteenth day of the second month. Shame catch the priests and the Levites, so dem set demself apart and bring burnt offerings come the house of our Papa. ¹⁶Dem stand for their place as the custom be, as the Law of Moses the man of God talk; the priests sprinkle the blood wey the Levites hand give dem. ¹⁷Plenty for the assembly never set demself apart, so na the Levites dey in charge to kill the Passover lambs for everybody wey no clean, to set dem apart for our Papa. ¹⁸Plenty of the people, plenty from Ephraim, Manasseh, Issachar, and Zebulun, no bin purify demself, but still dem chop the Passover, even though no be as dem write am. But Hezekiah pray for dem: “Make our good Papa pardon everybody, ¹⁹wey set im heart to seek our Papa, the God of im fathers, even though e no clean according to the sanctuary rules.”

²⁰And our Papa hear Hezekiah and heal the people. ²¹The Israel people wey dey Jerusalem keep the Feast of Bread Without Yeast for seven days with plenty joy, and day by day the Levites and priests dey praise our Papa with loud instruments wey dey sound to am. ²²Hezekiah talk word wey encourage all the Levites wey sabi serve our Papa well. For seven days dem chop their festival share, dey offer peace offerings and dey give thanks to our Papa, the God of their fathers.

²³Then the whole assembly gree to keep the feast another seven days, and dem keep am seven more days with joy. ²⁴Hezekiah king of Judah give the assembly 1,000 bulls and 7,000 sheep, and the officials give 1,000 bulls and 10,000 sheep, and plenty priests set demself apart. ²⁵The whole assembly of Judah rejoice, together with the priests, the Levites, the whole assembly wey come from Israel, and the strangers wey come from Israel land and those wey dey live for Judah. ²⁶Plenty joy full Jerusalem, because nothing like this bin happen there since the days of Solomon the pikin of David, king of Israel. ²⁷The priests and Levites stand up to bless the people, and dem hear their voice; their prayer reach im holy home for heaven.
