Exodus 11

11 ¹ Our Father said to Moses, "One more plague I will bring on Pharaoh and on Egypt. After that he will send you out from here; when he does, he will drive you out completely." ² Tell the people: let each man ask his neighbor, each woman her neighbor, for silver and gold objects.

³ And our Father gave the people favor with the Egyptians. Moreover, Moses himself was very great in the land of Egypt, in the eyes of Pharaoh's servants and the people.

⁴ Moses said, "This is what our Father says: Around midnight I will go through Egypt, ⁵ and every firstborn in the land of Egypt will die, from Pharaoh's firstborn who sits on his throne to the slave girl's firstborn behind the millstones, and every firstborn animal. ⁶ A great cry will fill all the land of Egypt, unlike any before or since. ⁷ But not even a dog will growl at any of Israel's people, man or animal, so you'll know our Father distinguishes Egypt from Israel. ⁸ All these servants of yours will come down to me, bow before me, and say, 'Go, you and all the people who follow you.' After that I will go out." Then Moses left Pharaoh in burning anger.

⁹ Our Father said to Moses, "Pharaoh will not listen to you, so my wonders multiply in the land of Egypt."

¹⁰ Moses and Aaron performed all these wonders before Pharaoh, but our Father hardened Pharaoh's heart, and he refused to send the Israelites from his land.
