Psalms 94

Book

E No Go Leave Im Own People

Chapter 94.

our Papa wey dey bring justice — our Papa; our Papa wey dey bring justice, come shine! Wake up, Judge of di earth; give di proud people wetin dem deserve. How long di wicked people go dey, our Papa — how long di wicked people go dey laugh with pride?

Dem dey pour proud-proud words comot; all di people wey dey do evil dey boast. Dem dey crush your people, our Papa, and dey oppress your inheritance. Dem dey kill di widow and di stranger, and dey murder di pikin wey no get papa. Dem talk say, “Oga no dey see; God of Jacob no dey notice anything.”

Make una hear well, una people wey no get sense among di people; una foolish people, na wen una go wise? Di one wey plant ear, e no dey hear? Di one wey make eye, e no dey see? Di one wey dey discipline nations, e no go correct dem — di one wey dey teach mankind knowledge? our Papa know di thoughts of mankind, say dem be just breath.

Blessing dey for di person wey you dey discipline, our Papa, and wey you dey teach from your law, as you dey give am rest from di days of trouble, till dem dig pit for di wicked people. Because our Papa no go leave im people; e no go abandon im inheritance. Because justice go return to di correct-and-holy people, and all di people wey get upright heart go follow am.

Who go stand up for me against di wicked people? Who go stand for me against di people wey dey do evil? If our Papa no bin be my help, my soul for don quick go rest for di silence of death. Wen I talk say, “My leg dey slip,” your Covenant love, our Papa, hold me up. Wen worry plenty for inside me, your comfort bring joy come my soul.

Corrupt throne fit join with you — di one wey dey write injustice put for law? Dem dey gather together against di life of di correct-and-holy people and dey condemn di innocent people to death. But our Papa don become my strong place, and our Papa be di rock wey I dey hide. E go turn dem own iniquity back to dem and go destroy dem because of dem wickedness; our Papa go destroy dem.
