27 1 My Papa na my light and my salvation — na who I go fear? My Papa na di strong tower for my life — na who go make me dey afraid?

4 One thing I don ask my Papa, na dis I dey find: say I go live for im house all di days of my life, to dey look im fine-fine beauty and to find am for im temple. 5 Because e go hide me for im shelter when trouble come; e go cover me under im tent; e go put me high for top rock. 6 And now my head go raise up high pass my enemies wey surround me, and I go offer sacrifice for im tent with shout of joy; I go sing and play music to my Papa.
7 Hear my voice, my Papa, when I dey cry out; show me grace and answer me. 8 My heart talk about you say, “Find im face.” Your face, my Papa, na im I dey find. 9 No hide your face from me; no drive your servant comot with anger — na you don be my help. No leave me or forsake me, my Papa, my salvation. 10 Even if my papa and my mama forsake me, my Papa go take me in. a a v10 Even if di closest human love fail, our Papa go gather di pikin wey dem abandon come inside im own house — na dis be im heart for every one of im pikin dem.
11 Teach me your way, my Papa, and lead me for straight road because of dem wey dey wait to catch me. 12 No hand me over to wetin my enemies want, because false witness don rise up against me, dey breathe out wickedness.
13 I sure of dis: I go see di goodness of my Papa for di land of di living. 14 Wait for our Papa; be strong, and make your heart take courage; wait for our Papa.
