Cities for di Levite People
Dem give the Levites forty-eight town with land for animal to chop grass, and six of dem na city of refuge. Person wey kill person go dey protected from the avenger until the assembly judge wetin e mean for heart — murder still na death — because blood wey dem shed dey spoil the land where dem Papa dey live among dem.
35 1Our Papa talk give Moses for di plain land of Moab, near di Jordan, across from Jericho, sey:
2"Command di Israel people make dem give di Levite people, from di inheritance wey dem hold, cities wey dem go live for, and grazing land wey surround dem, for di Levite people. 3Di cities na for dem to live for; di grazing land na for dem cattle, dem animal, and all di living creature wey dem get.
4"Di grazing land of di cities wey you give di Levite people go reach around 1,500 feet from di city wall for every side. 5Measure outside di city: around 3,000 feet for di east side, 3,000 for di south side, 3,000 for di west side, 3,000 for di north side, with di city for di middle. Na dis one be di grazing land for dem cities.
6"For di cities wey you give di Levite people, six go be cities of refuge, wey person wey kill somebody fit run go; apart from dis ones, give dem forty-two cities.
7"All di cities wey you give di Levite people go be forty-eight cities, together with dem grazing land. 8From di land wey belong to Israel, give di Levite people cities—more from di big tribe dem, small from di small ones; each one go give according to di inheritance wey dem receive."

9Our Papa talk give Moses sey:
10"Talk to di Israel people and tell dem: When una cross di Jordan enter di land of Canaan, 11choose cities for unaself, cities of refuge, wia anybody wey kill person by mistake fit run go. 12Dis cities go be refuge for una from di person wey wan revenge blood, so dat di one wey kill no go die until e stand before di assembly for judgment. 13Di cities wey una give go be six cities of refuge for una. 14Give three cities for di other side of di Jordan and three cities for di land of Canaan; dem go be cities of refuge. 15Dis six cities go be refuge for di Israel people, di stranger, and di person wey dey stay small time among dem, so dat anybody wey kill person by accident fit run go.
16"But if person take iron thing hit anoda one and di person die, di one wey do am na murderer—dem must kill di murderer. 17If e take stone wey dey im hand wey fit kill hit am, and e die, na murderer e be; dem must kill di murderer. 18Or if e take wooden tool wey fit kill wey dey im hand hit am, and e die, na murderer e be; dem must kill di murderer. 19Di person wey wan revenge blood na im go kill di murderer imself; when e see am, e go kill am. 20If e push am because e hate am, or throw something at am for hiding, so dat e die, 21or if e take im hand hit am because e hate am and e die, dem must kill di one wey hit am—na murderer e be. Di person wey wan revenge blood go kill di murderer when e find am.
22"But if e push am sharp-sharp without bad mind, or throw anything at am without hiding to catch am, 23or, without say e see am, e drop stone wey fit kill on top am, and e die—wey no be im enemy, wey no dey find im wahala, 24then di assembly go judge between di one wey kill and di one wey wan revenge blood according to dis rules. 25Di assembly must rescue di one wey kill from di hand of di person wey wan revenge blood and carry am go back to di city of refuge wey e run go; e must stay dia until di high priest wey dem rub with holy oil die. a a v25 Di person wey run go exile go only free when di high priest die — na death wey release di one wey get blame. Jesus, our great high priest, secure our freedom with im own death.
26"But if di one wey kill ever comot from di border of im refuge city, wia e run go, 27if di person wey wan revenge blood find am outside di border of im city of refuge and kill di one wey kill, no blood-guilt dey on am. 28Di one wey kill must stay for im city of refuge until di high priest die; na only after di high priest die e fit go back to im own land. 29Dis one go be law wey no go change for una throughout una generations, for every place wia una dey live.
30"Anybody wey kill person, dem go kill am as murderer, based on wetin witness dem talk; but one witness alone no fit talk against person to make dem kill am.
31"No collect ransom for di life of murderer wey deserve to die—dem must kill am. 32No collect ransom for person wey run go im city of refuge, to let am go back live for di land before di priest die.
33"No make di land wia una dey live dirty—blood dey make di land dirty, and no atonement fit dey for di land for di blood wey dem pour on top am, except by di blood of di one wey pour am. 34No make di land unclean—una dey live dia, and I dey live among una; for I, una Papa, dey live among di Israel people."
