Numbers 15

15 ¹Our Papa talk to Moses, say:

²“Talk to di Israelites and tell dem: When una enter di land wey I dey give una make una live for am, ³and una offer me fire offering—burnt offering or sacrifice, to complete special vow, as offering wey una give from una heart, or for una appointed feasts—wey dey produce sweet smell wey I like from herd or flock, ⁴den whoever bring im offering must bring me grain offering too—like two quarts of fine flour wey dem mix with like one quart of oil. ⁵Prepare like one quart of wine for di drink offering with di burnt offering or sacrifice, for every lamb.

⁶“Or for ram, una go prepare grain offering of like four quarts of fine flour wey dem mix with like one and one-third quarts of oil, ⁷and one and one-third quarts of wine for di drink offering—offer am as sweet smell wey I like. ⁸When una prepare young bull as burnt offering or sacrifice, to complete special vow, or as peace offering to me, ⁹with di young bull, bring grain offering of like six quarts of fine flour wey dem mix with like two quarts of oil, ¹⁰bring two quarts of wine for di drink offering, fire offering of sweet smell wey I like. ¹¹Na so una go do am for every bull, ram, lamb, or young goat. ¹²Do di same thing for every one, no matter how many una prepare.

¹³“Every Israelite wey born for di land must do dis thing when e dey offer fire offering, sweet smell, to me. ¹⁴If stranger wey dey stay with una, or anybody wey dey among una for di generations wey dey come, make fire offering of sweet smell wey I like, e must do as una dey do. ¹⁵One law for di assembly—una and di stranger wey dey stay among una—law wey go last for all generations: as una be, na so di stranger be for my front. ¹⁶One law and one rule go work for una and for di stranger wey dey stay with una.”

¹⁷And our Papa talk to Moses, say:

¹⁸“Talk to di Israelites and tell dem: When una enter di land wey I dey carry una go, ¹⁹den when una chop di food wey di land produce, una go lift up contribution give me. ²⁰From di first of una dough, lift up one loaf as contribution, like di contribution from di threshing floor. ²¹From di first of una dough una go give contribution to me for all una generations.

Our Papa Dey Cover Sin Wey Person No Do On Purpose

²²“And when una waka comot and fail to do all dis commandments wey I don talk to Moses, ²³everything wey I command una through Moses, from di day I command am, and go forward for all una generations, ²⁴den if dem do am without knowing, and di assembly no know, di whole assembly must offer one young bull as burnt offering—sweet smell wey I like—with im grain offering and drink offering as dem suppose be, plus one male goat as sin offering. ²⁵Di priest go make atonement for di whole Israelite community, and dem go forgive dem, since dem no do am on purpose and dem bring dia offering—fire offering to me—and dia sin offering come my front for di wrong wey dem no do on purpose. ²⁶All di community of Israel go get forgiveness, together with di stranger wey dey stay among dem, since all di people do wrong without knowing.

²⁷“And if one person sin without knowing, e go offer one female goat wey don reach one year as sin offering. ²⁸Di priest go make atonement for my front for di person wey miss road by sinning without knowing, e go atone for am, and dem go forgive am. ²⁹For di person wey born for di land among di children of Israel and di stranger wey dey stay among dem, na one law dey for di person wey do am without knowing.

³⁰“But di person wey do am with bold-face, whether e born for di land or e be stranger, dey insult me—dem go cut off dat person from among im people. ³¹Since e look my word down and break my command, dem go surely cut off dat person; im guilt go remain on top am.”

To Break Sabbath and Wetin Follow Am

³²While di Israelites dey for di wilderness, dem catch one man wey dey gather wood for di Sabbath day. ³³Di people wey catch am as e dey gather wood carry am come Moses, Aaron, and di whole congregation. ³⁴Dem lock am up because e no clear wetin dem suppose do to am.

³⁵So our Papa tell Moses, “Di man must die; di whole community must stone am for outside di camp.”

³⁶Di whole congregation carry am comot go outside di camp and stone am with stones; e die, as our Papa command Moses.

Tassels To Make Us Remember Our Papa

³⁷And our Papa talk to Moses, say:

³⁸“Talk to di Israelites: make dem put tassels for di corners of dia clothes for all generations, with blue cord for every corner tassel. ^a a v38 Tassels — knotted fringes wey dem dey wear for di corners of di cloth — na daily thing wey dem fit see wey dey remind dem to live by our Papa commands; faithful Israelites wear dem for hundreds of years. ³⁹E go be tassel wey una go dey look, so una go remember all my commandments and do dem, no dey run after una heart and after una eyes, wey dey carry una go do wayo. ⁴⁰Dis way una go remember and do all my commandments, and una go be holy to me. ⁴¹Na me be una Papa, wey carry una comot from Egypt land to be una Papa. Na me be una Papa.”
