1 Timothy 4

4 ¹The Holy Spirit tok am clear-clear: for di last days some people go comot from di faith, dey follow spirit wey dey deceive and teaching wey come from demons, ²through di lie-lie way of people wey dey pretend, wey dem conscience don burn dead like dem take hot iron mark am. ³Dem dey stop people from marry, and dey talk say make dem no chop some food wey our Papa make so dat believers wey sabi di truth go take thanksgiving receive am. ⁴Because everything wey our Papa make dey good; nothing suppose comot when person take thanksgiving receive am, ⁵because di word of our Papa and prayer dey make am holy.

⁶If you put dis things for di brothers and sisters mind, you go be correct servant of Christ Jesus, wey di words of di faith and di good teaching wey you don follow dey feed. ⁷No gree near dem yeye myths wey no get respect for God. Instead, train yoursef make you dey live godly life. ⁸To train di body dey help small, but to serve God dey help for every kain way—e dey promise life now and di life wey dey come. ⁹Dis na word wey person fit trust, and wey deserve make everybody accept am well-well. ¹⁰Na for dis reason we dey labour and dey struggle, because we don put our hope for di living Papa, wey be Savior of all people, especially believers. ¹¹Command and teach dis things.

¹²Make nobody look you down because you still young, but be example to believers for how you dey tok, how you dey waka, for love, faith, and clean-clean life. ¹³Until I come, put yoursef for reading Scripture for everybody hearing, for preaching, and for teaching. ¹⁴No neglect di gift wey dey inside you, wey dem give you through prophecy, wen di elders put dem hand for your head. ¹⁵Dey practice dis things and give yoursef fully to dem, so dat everybody go fit see how you dey grow. ¹⁶Watch yoursef and your teaching well-well. Continue for dis, because if you do so, you go save yoursef and di people wey dey hear you.
