1 Corinthians 5

5 ¹Dem dey really talk say sexual immorality dey among una—one kind wey even people wey no know our Papa no dey do: one man don take im papa wife. ²And una still dey blow big! No be say una for cry instead, so dat dem go comot di person wey do dis thing from among una? ³For even though I no dey with una for body, but I dey with una for spirit, I don already judge di person wey do dis thing, as if I dey there. ⁴Wen una gather for di name of our Oga Jesus, and my spirit dey there with una, with di power of our Oga Jesus, ⁵hand dis man over to Satan make e destroy di flesh, so dat im spirit go save for di day of our Oga Jesus.

⁶Di way una dey brag no good. Una no know say small yeast dey work through di whole dough? ⁷Comot di old yeast, so dat una go be new dough—as una be without yeast. Because Christ, our Passover lamb, dem don sacrifice am. ⁸So make we celebrate di festival, no be with old yeast, di yeast of bad mind and evil, but with di bread wey no get yeast, di bread of true heart and truth.

⁹I bin write to una for my letter say make una no dey mix with people wey dey do sexual immorality. ¹⁰I no mean at all say di sexually immoral people of dis world, or di greedy people and cheaters, or people wey dey worship idol—because if na so, una for need comot from di world. ¹¹But I dey write to una say make una no dey mix with anybody wey dey call imsef brother or sister but e dey do sexual immorality, or e greedy, or e dey worship idol, or e dey talk bad about people, or e be drunkard, or e be cheater. With person like dat, no even chop with am. ¹²Why I go judge dem wey dey outside di church? No be dem wey dey inside una suppose judge? ¹³Na our Papa dey judge dem wey dey outside. “Comot di wicked person from among una.”
