Daniel 12

12 ¹ At that time Michael, the great prince guarding your people's children, will arise. There will be distress unmatched since nations began, until then. At that time your people—all listed in the book—will be rescued. ² Many sleeping in earth's dust will wake—some to everlasting life, some to shame and everlasting contempt. ³ The wise will shine like the sky's brightness; those who turn many to righteousness, like stars, forever and ever. ⁴ But you, Daniel, close these words and seal the book until the end time. Many will roam back and forth, and knowledge will grow.

⁵ Then I, Daniel, looked and saw two others standing, one on each bank of the river. ⁶ One asked the linen-clad man above the river's waters, 'How long till these wonders end?'

⁷ I heard the man dressed in linen, above the river's waters, lift his right hand and left toward heaven and swear by the One who lives forever: for a time, times, and half a time; when the shattering of the holy people's power is finished, all these things will be finished. ^a a v7 The everlasting One by whom the oath is sworn — the One who lives forever — is our Father, the source and end of all the ages.

⁸ I heard, but didn't understand, so I said, 'My lord, what is the end of these things?'

⁹ He said, "Go, Daniel, for the words are shut and sealed until the time of the end." ¹⁰ Many will be purified, whitened, refined; the wicked will keep doing evil. None of the wicked will understand, but the wise will understand.

¹¹ From the daily sacrifice's removal and the desolating detestable thing's setup: 1,290 days. ¹² Blessed is the one who waits and reaches the one thousand three hundred thirty-five days.

¹³ But you, go to the end. You will rest, then stand for your inheritance at the end of the days.
