Proverbs 2

2 ¹My son, if you receive my words and store my commandments for inside you, ²as you dey turn your ear to hear wisdom and dey turn your heart go understanding; ³yes, if you shout call for insight and raise your voice for understanding, ⁴if you look for am like silver and search am like hidden treasure, ⁵then you go understand di fear of our Papa and find di knowledge of our Papa. ⁶Because na our Papa dey give wisdom; na from im mouth knowledge and understanding dey comot. ⁷E dey store sound wisdom for di correct-and-holy people; E be shield for those wey dey waka with clean heart, ⁸E dey guard di roads of justice and dey watch over di way of im faithful ones.

⁹Then you go understand correct-and-holy way and justice and fairness—every good road. ¹⁰Because wisdom go enter your heart, and knowledge go sweet your soul; ¹¹sense go dey watch over you, and understanding go dey guard you, ¹²to save you from di way of evil, from men wey dey talk crooked things, ¹³wey don leave di roads of straight-living to waka for di ways of darkness, ¹⁴wey dey happy to do evil and dey rejoice for di bad-bad ways of evil, ¹⁵whose roads dey crooked, and wey dey follow twisted way for wetin dem dey do.

¹⁶Wisdom go save you also from di woman wey dem forbid, from di strange woman with her sweet-mouth words, ¹⁷wey don abandon di companion of her young days and don forget di Covenant of her Papa. ¹⁸Because her house dey sink go down to death, and her roads dey lead go di dead ones. ¹⁹Nobody wey go meet her dey return, dem no dey reach di roads of life again.

²⁰So you go waka for di way of di good people and keep to di roads of di correct-and-holy ones. ²¹Because di correct-and-holy people go live for di land, and those wey get clean heart go remain inside am; ²²but dem go cut off di wicked ones from di land, and dem go tear di betrayers comot from am.
