Moses on the Mountain
34 1 Then Moses went up from the plains of Moab to Mount Nebo, the top of Pisgah opposite Jericho, and our Father showed him the whole land — Gilead to Dan, 2 all Naphtali, the land of Ephraim and Manasseh, all the land of Judah to the western sea 3 the Negev, the plain — the Valley of Jericho, city of palms — to Zoar.
4 Then our Father said to him, "This is the land I swore to Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob: 'I will give it to your offspring.' I have let you see it with your eyes, but you will not cross into it."
5 Moses, our Father's servant, died there in the land of Moab, just as our Father had said. 6 our Father buried him in the Moab valley opposite Beth-peor. No one knows his burial place to this day. 7 Moses was 120 years old when he died; his eyes hadn't dimmed, and his vigor hadn't faded. 8 Israelites wept for Moses on Moab's plains thirty days, until the days of weeping and mourning ended. 9 Joshua son of Nun was full of the spirit of wisdom, for Moses had laid his hands on him. The Israelites listened to him and did as our Father had commanded Moses. 10 Since then no prophet has risen in Israel like Moses, whom our Father knew face to face, 11 for all the signs and wonders our Father sent him to do in Egypt — against Pharaoh, all his servants, and all his land 12 for all the strong hand and for all the great terrifying deeds Moses did before all Israel's eyes.
