12 ¹Na these na the men wey come meet David for Ziklag while dem still ban am from Saul, pikin of Kish, face—mighty warriors wey help am for battle. ²Dem carry bow, dem fit sling stone or shoot arrow with right hand or left hand—people of Benjamin, Saul im own family. ³Ahiezer na the chief, then Joash, pikin dem of Shemaah of Gibeah; Jeziel and Pelet, pikin dem of Azmaveth; Beracah; Jehu of Anathoth; ⁴Ishmaiah of Gibeon, wan mighty warrior among the thirty, commander over the thirty; Jeremiah, Jahaziel, Johanan, Jozabad of Gederah; ⁵Eluzai, Jerimoth, Bealiah, Shemariah, and Shephatiah the Haruphite; ⁶Elkanah, Isshiah, Azarel, Joezer, and Jashobeam, the Korahite dem; ⁷and Joelah and Zebadiah, the pikin dem of Jeroham of Gedor.

³⁸All these na warriors wey line up for battle formation, wey come Hebron with dem whole heart to make David king over all Israel; and the rest of Israel too dey for one mind to make David king. ³⁹Dem stay there three days with David, dey chop and dey drink; dem relatives don prepare food for dem. ⁴⁰Dem neighbours, even as far as Issachar, Zebulun, and Naphtali, bring food with donkey, camel, mule, and ox—flour, fig cake, raisin cake, wine, oil, cattle, and sheep plenty plenty, because joy dey for Israel.
