Now You Will See
After the failure, our Father repeats who he is: known to the fathers as El Shaddai, now revealed by name as Father. Seven promises follow — bring out, rescue, redeem, take you as my children. But the people, crushed by brutal slavery, will not listen, and Moses still protests.
6 1Then our Father told Moses, "Now you'll see what I'll do to Pharaoh: with a strong hand he'll send them out; with a strong hand drive them from his land."
2Our Father spoke to Moses and said to him, "I am your Father. 3I appeared to Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob as El Shaddai—our Father Almighty—but they didn't know me by my name, Father. a a v3 The patriarchs prayed this name (Genesis 15:2) — but to know it is to live it, and that begins now (6:7). Most English Bibles print it as "the LORD." 4I also confirmed my covenant with them, to give them Canaan, land where they lived as foreigners. 5I have also heard the groaning of the Israelites, whom the Egyptians enslave, and remembered my covenant. 6Tell Israel's sons: I am your Father. I will bring you out from under Egypt's burdens, rescue you from their slavery, and redeem you with an extended arm and great judgments. 7I'll take you as my children, be your Father. You'll know I am your Father, freeing you from under Egypt's burdens. 8I will bring you to the land I swore, hand raised, to give to Abraham, to Isaac, and to Jacob, and give it to you as a possession. I am your Father."
9Moses told the Israelites this, but they wouldn't listen to Moses because of their broken spirit and their harsh slavery.
10Then our Father said to Moses,
11"Go, tell Pharaoh king of Egypt to let the Israelites go out of his land."
12But Moses said in our Father's presence, "If the Israelites won't listen to me, why would Pharaoh? I speak poorly." 13Now our Father spoke to Moses and Aaron, ordering them regarding the Israelites and Pharaoh king of Egypt, to bring the Israelites out of Egypt.
Levi's Line: Moses and Aaron

26This was Aaron and Moses whom our Father told, "Bring Israel out of Egypt by their divisions."
27These spoke to Pharaoh king of Egypt to bring the Israelites out of Egypt: Moses and Aaron.
28Now on the day our Father spoke to Moses in the land of Egypt,
29our Father told him, "I am your Father. Tell Pharaoh king of Egypt all I tell you."
30But Moses said before our Father, "Since I speak poorly, how will Pharaoh listen to me?"
