Psalms 34

34 ¹I will bless our Father at all times; his praise will always be on my lips.

²My soul boasts in our Father; let the humble hear and rejoice. ³Magnify our Father with me; let us exalt his name together.

⁴I sought our Father, and he answered me; he delivered me from all my fears. ⁵Those who look to him are radiant; their faces will never be ashamed. ⁶This poor man cried out, and our Father heard him; he saved him from all his troubles. ⁷The angel of our Father encamps around those who fear him, and he rescues them.

⁸Taste and see that our Father is good; blessed is the one who takes refuge in him. ⁹Fear our Father, you his holy ones, for those who fear him lack nothing. ¹⁰The young lions go hungry and lack, but those who seek our Father lack no good thing.

¹¹Come, children, listen to me; I will teach you the fear of our Father. ¹²Who is the one who desires life and loves many good days? ¹³Keep your tongue from evil and your lips from speaking deceit. ¹⁴Turn from evil and do good; seek peace and pursue it.

¹⁵The eyes of our Father are on the righteous, and his ears are open to their cry. ¹⁶The face of our Father is against those who do evil, to erase their memory from the earth. ¹⁷The righteous cry out, and our Father hears; he delivers them from all their troubles. ¹⁸Our Father is near to the brokenhearted; he saves those crushed in spirit.

¹⁹The righteous face many afflictions, but our Father delivers each one from them all. ²⁰Our Father guards all the righteous one's bones; not one of them is broken.

²¹Evil will slay the wicked, and those who hate the righteous will be condemned. ²²Our Father redeems the soul of his servants; none who take refuge in him will be condemned.
