Leviticus 20

20 ¹ Our Father spoke to Moses:

² Tell the Israelites: Any Israelite, or foreigner living in Israel, who gives any of his children to Molech must surely be put to death — the people of the land are to stone him with stones. ^a a v2 Molech was a Canaanite god whose worship involved sacrificing children in fire. ³ I myself will set my face against that man and cut him off from among his people, for giving any of his children to Molech, making my sanctuary unclean and desecrating my holy name. ⁴ If the people of the land turn a blind eye when that man gives any of his offspring to Molech, and do not put him to death, ⁵ I will set my face against that man and his family, and cut him off—with all who follow him in prostitution to Molech—from among their people.

⁶ Whoever turns to mediums or spiritists, prostituting themselves after them, I will set my face against that person and cut them off from among their people.

⁷ Set yourselves apart, therefore, and be holy, for I am your Father. ⁸ Keep my statutes and do them. I am your Father who makes you holy.

⁹ Whoever curses his father or his mother must be put to death; he has cursed his father or his mother—his blood is on him.

¹⁰ If a man commits adultery with another man's wife — his neighbor's wife — both adulterer and adulterous woman must surely be put to death.

¹¹ A man who sleeps with his father's wife has exposed his father's nakedness; both must be put to death; their blood is on them.

¹² If a man sleeps with his daughter-in-law, both must be put to death; they have done a perversion; their blood is on them.

¹³ If a man lies with a male as with a woman, both have done a detestable thing; they must surely be put to death; their blood is on them.

¹⁴ If a man takes a woman and her mother, that is evil; burn him and them with fire, so no evil remains among you.

¹⁵ If a man has sex with an animal, he must be put to death, and you must kill the animal.

¹⁶ If a woman approaches any animal to mate with it, kill the woman and the animal; both must be put to death; their blood is on them.

¹⁷ If a man marries his sister, his father's or mother's daughter, and they have sexual relations, it is a disgrace; they must be cut off before their people. He has exposed his sister; he bears his guilt.

¹⁸ If a man sleeps with a woman during her period, he exposes her flow, and she uncovers its source; both are cut off from their people.

¹⁹ Do not have sex with your mother's or father's sister — that disrespects a close relative; they will bear their guilt. ²⁰ A man who sleeps with his uncle's wife disrespects his uncle; they will bear their sin and die childless.

²¹ If a man marries his brother's wife, it is impurity; he exposed his brother's nakedness; they will be childless.

²² Keep all my statutes and all my rules, and do them, so the land I'm bringing you to live in won't vomit you out. ²³ You must not adopt the customs of the nation I am driving out before you, because they did all these things, and I detested them. ²⁴ I have told you: you will inherit their land; I myself will give it to you to possess, a land flowing with milk and honey. I am your Father, who set you apart from the peoples.

²⁵ So distinguish clean animals from unclean, and unclean birds from clean. Do not make yourselves detestable by any animal, bird, or thing crawling on the ground that I have set apart for you as unclean. ²⁶ Be holy to me, for I, your Father, am holy, and I have set you apart from the peoples to be mine.

²⁷ A man or woman who is a medium or spiritist must be put to death—stoned; their blood is on them.
