A New Song for All the Earth
The new song is missionary — publish our Father's deeds among the nations, bring an offering, tell them he reigns. The other gods are handmade nothings. Even the sea, the fields and the trees of the forest are recruited to cheer the coming Judge.
96 1Sing to our Father a new song; sing to our Father, all the earth.
2Sing to our Father, bless his name; proclaim his salvation day after day. 3Publish his glorious deeds among the nations, his marvelous works among all the peoples. 4For great is our Father and most worthy of praise; he is to be feared above all gods. 5For all the gods of the peoples are idols, but our Father made the heavens. 6Splendor and majesty are before him; strength and beauty are in his sanctuary.
7Ascribe to our Father, all families of the peoples, ascribe to our Father glory and strength. 8Ascribe to our Father the glory due his name; bring an offering, and come into his courts. 9Worship our Father in the splendor of holiness; tremble before him, all the earth. 10Say among the nations, "Our Father reigns! The world is firmly established; it will never be moved. He will judge the peoples with equity."
11Let the heavens be glad, and let the earth rejoice; let the sea roar, and all that fills it. 12Let the field exult, and everything in it; then all the trees of the forest will sing for joy. 13Before our Father, for he comes, for he comes to judge the earth. He will judge the world in righteousness, and the peoples in his faithfulness.
