2 Chronicles 19

19 ¹Jehoshaphat king of Judah come back safe go im house for Jerusalem. ²Jehu, di pikin of Hanani di seer, come meet King Jehoshaphat, im ask am say, “You suppose helep di wicked people, come dey love dem wey hate our Papa? Na because of dis, vex from our Papa dey on top you. ³But still, dem see good thing for inside you: you don comot di Asherah poles from di land, come set your heart to dey find our Papa.”

⁴Jehoshaphat dey Jerusalem, come go out again go dey among di people, from Beersheba go reach di hill country of Ephraim, dey turn dem back go our Papa, di God of dem ancestors. ⁵Im appoint judges for di land, for all di strong-wall cities of Judah, city by city. ⁶Im tell di judges say, “Watch wetin you dey do—no be for people you dey judge but for our Papa, and im dey with you for every case wey you dey settle. ⁷So now make di fear of our Papa dey on top you. Watch and do am well, because with our Papa, no bad-judgement dey, no favour-favour, no bribe.”

⁸For Jerusalem sef, Jehoshaphat appoint some Levites, priests, and di heads of di ancestral families of Israel, to give di judgement of our Papa and to settle quarrel; dem come back go Jerusalem. ⁹Im give dem order say, “Do am dis way, with di fear of our Papa, with faithful mind and with your whole heart. ¹⁰Any time your brothers wey dey dem cities bring quarrel come meet you—about killing person, or about law and commandment, statute and ruling—warn dem well, so dem no go carry guilt come before our Papa, wey go bring vex on top you and your brothers. Do dis thing, and you no go carry guilt. ¹¹Now, Amariah di chief priest go dey over you for every matter of our Papa; Zebadiah, di pikin of Ishmael, di leader of di tribe of Judah, for every matter of di king. Di Levites go serve as officials before you. Make you strong, come do am—make our Papa dey with dem wey dey do good.”
