1 Chronicles 10

10 ¹Di Philistines fight against Israel; Israel men run comot for dia front, and dem fall die for Mount Gilboa. ²Di Philistines pursue Saul and im sons, and dem kill Jonathan, Abinadab, and Malchishua, Saul im sons. ³Di fight come hard well-well for Saul side; di people wey dey shoot arrow catch am, and dem wound am bad-bad. ⁴Saul tell di person wey dey carry im war-cloth say, “Comot your sword, jook me pass, if not dis men wey no circumcise go come do me anyhow.” But di person no gree, e dey fear. So Saul im own self take di sword and fall on top am.

⁵Wen di person wey dey carry im war-cloth see say Saul don die, e too fall on top im own sword and die. ⁶So Saul die, and im three sons, and everybody for im house die together.

⁷Wen di Israel people wey dey for di valley see say di army don run and Saul and im sons don die, dem leave dia towns and run. Di Philistines come and settle for inside.

⁸Di next day, di Philistines come to strip di dead body dem, and dem find Saul and im sons wey fall for Mount Gilboa. ⁹Dem strip am, carry im head and im war-cloth, and send messenger dem go everywhere for Philistine land, to announce am give dia idols and di people. ¹⁰Dem put im weapon dem for dia gods temple, and dem nail im head for Dagon temple.

¹¹But wen all di people of Jabesh-gilead hear everything wey di Philistines do Saul, ¹²all dia fighting men waka go, carry Saul body and im sons body dem, bring dem come Jabesh, bury dia bones under di oak tree for Jabesh, and dem fast for seven days.

¹³So Saul die because e no dey faithful to our Papa—e no keep our Papa word, and e even go ask person wey dey talk to dead spirit, to find direction. ¹⁴E no seek our Papa, so our Papa kill am and hand di kingdom give David, Jesse im son.
