2 Peter 3

3 ¹My people wey I love, na di second letter be dis wey I dey write una now; for di two of dem, I dey wake up una true-true mind by way of reminder. ²Remember di words wey di holy prophet dem talk before-before, and di command of our Oga and Savior wey dem give through una apostle dem. ³Make una know dis first: for di last days, people wey go dey mock go come, dey mock, dey follow dem own bad desire. ⁴Dem go ask, “Wia di coming wey e promise? Since di papa dem don sleep die, everytin still dey go on as e dey since di beginning of creation.” ⁵Dem sabi am but dem no gree know dis: long time ago, by our Papa word, heaven dem dey, and earth come form comot from water and through water, ⁶and na through dis tins di world of dat time drown for water and perish. ⁷By di same word, di heaven and earth of today dey kept for fire, dem keep dem for di day of judgment and destruction of wicked people.

⁸No forget dis, una wey I love: for our Papa side, one day be like 1,000 years, and 1,000 years be like one day. ⁹Our Papa no dey slow to keep im promise, as some people dey tink; e dey patient with una, e no want make anybody perish, but e want make everybody reach repentance. ^a a v9 Di reason for di delay na love: our Papa dey patient, e dey hold di door open so dat everybody go get space to come home. ¹⁰But di day of our Oga Jesus go come like tief: di heaven dem go disappear with sound wey dey rush, di elements go burn and melt, and di earth with all im works go show clear. ¹¹Since all dis tins go melt comot, wetin kind people una suppose be? Una suppose live holy life, wey una give unaself to God, ¹²as una dey wait for and dey rush di coming of our Papa day, wen di heaven dem go set fire and melt comot, and di elements go melt for di heat. ¹³But as e promise, we dey wait for new heaven and new earth, wia correct-and-holy way dey live.

¹⁴So, una wey I love, as una dey wait for dis tins, try well-well make e find una for peace, without any spot and without any fault. ¹⁵Take di patience of our Oga as salvation, just as our brother wey we love, Paul, write una, with di wisdom wey dem give am, ¹⁶as e dey for all im letters, wia e dey talk about dis tins. Some parts hard to understand, and people wey no sabi and wey no steady dey twist dem—as dem dey do di oda Scriptures—to dem own destruction. ¹⁷So den, una wey I love, since una don know dis before-hand, guard unaself, so dat di error of people wey no get law no go carry una comot and make una lose una own strong standing. ¹⁸Make una grow for di grace and knowledge of our Oga and Savior Jesus Christ. Make glory dey for am, now and reach di day wey no dey end.
