1 Chronicles 28

28 ¹David gather all di officials of Israel for Jerusalem: officials of di tribes, di commanders of di divisions wey dey serve di king, di commanders of thousands and hundreds, di stewards wey dey look afta all di king and im pikin dem property and animals, plus di court officials, di mighty men, and all di brave warriors. ²King David stand up for im foot and talk say, “Hear me, my brothers and my people. E bin dey my heart to build one house of rest for di ark of our Papa Covenant, di footstool for im foot, and I don prepare to build am. ³But our Papa tell me say, ‘You no go build house for my name, because you be man of war wey don shed blood.’ ⁴But our Papa of Israel choose me, from my whole papa house, to rule Israel forever. Because our Papa choose Judah to lead, and inside Judah house, e choose my papa house; and among my papa sons, e happy to make me king over all Israel. ⁵Out of all my sons—our Papa don give me plenty—e choose Solomon my son to sit for di throne of di kingdom of our Papa over Israel. ⁶E tell me say, ‘Solomon your son go build my house and my courts, because I choose am as my son, and I go be im papa.’ ⁷I go establish im kingdom forever if e stand firm to keep my commands and my judgments, like wey e dey do today.

⁸“So now, for front of all Israel, di assembly of our Papa, and as e dey hear, keep and find out every command of your Papa, so dat you fit possess dis good land and leave am for your pikin dem afta you forever. ⁹You, Solomon my son, know di God of your papa, and serve am with your whole heart and willing mind—our Papa dey search every heart, e understand every plan and thought. If you seek am, you go find am; if you abandon am, e go reject you forever. ¹⁰Take note, because our Papa choose you to build one house for di sanctuary. Be strong, do am.”

¹¹David give Solomon im son di plan of di porch of di temple, im buildings, im storerooms, im upper rooms, im inner rooms, and di room of di mercy seat, ^a a v11 Di mercy seat na di solid-gold cover of di ark of di Covenant, wey dem keep inside di Most Holy Place, where God presence dey stay. ¹²and di plan of everything wey dey im mind for di courts of our Papa house, for all di rooms wey surround am, for di storerooms of im house, and for di storerooms of di dedicated gifts; ¹³for di divisions of di priests and Levites, for all di work of service inside our Papa house, and all di vessels for service inside im house. ¹⁴E give gold by weight for each gold article for every kind of service, and silver by weight for each silver article for every kind of service. ¹⁵Di weight for di gold lampstands and dem gold lamps, di weight of gold for each gold lampstand and im lamps, and di weight of silver for each silver lampstand and im lamps, according to how dem dey use each lampstand. ¹⁶Di weight of gold for each table of di bread of di Presence; and silver for di silver tables. ^b b v16 Di bread of di Presence (wey dem dey call showbread too) na twelve sacred bread wey dem put for front of God on top one table inside di Temple, and di priests dey change am every Sabbath. ¹⁷Di forks, basins, and pitchers of pure gold; di weight for each gold dish; di weight for each silver dish; ¹⁸refined gold by weight for di incense altar; gold for di design of di chariot—di cherubim wey spread dem wings and cover di ark of di Covenant of our Papa. ¹⁹David talk say, “All dis, I get am for writing from our Papa hand, wey give me understanding of all di details of di plan.”

²⁰David tell im son Solomon say, “Be strong and get courage; do di work. No fear, no let your heart cut, because my Papa dey with you. E no go fail you or abandon you until all di work for di service of di house of our Papa finish. ²¹Look—di priests and Levites don divide, dem ready for all di service of our Papa house. Every skilled man wey ready go join you for any work, with di officials and all di people, wey dey fully under your command.”
