The Father Speaks Against Gog

Chapter 38.

The word of our Father came to me: Son of man, set your face against Gog, of the land of Magog, the chief prince of Meshech and Tubal, and prophesy against him.

Say: This is what the Sovereign Father says: I am against you, Gog, chief prince of Meshech and Tubal. I will turn you around and put hooks in your jaws, and I will bring you out with all your army — horses and horsemen, all of them fully armored, a great horde with shields large and small, every one wielding a sword. Persia, Cush, and Put are with them, all of them equipped with shields and helmets; Gomer with all its troops, and Beth-togarmah from the far north with all its troops — many peoples are with you.

Be ready; prepare yourself, you and all the hordes gathered around you, and be their guard. After many days you will be summoned. In the latter years you will march against a land restored from war, whose people were gathered from many nations onto the mountains of Israel, long lying in ruins. They were brought out from the nations, and now all of them dwell securely. You will advance, sweeping in like a storm; you will be like a cloud covering the land — you and all your troops, and many peoples with you.

This is what the Sovereign Father says: On that day thoughts will arise in your mind, and you will devise an evil scheme. You will say, 'I will march against a land of unwalled villages; I will fall upon a peaceful people who dwell securely, all of them living without walls, without bars or gates' — to seize the spoils and carry off plunder, to attack the resettled ruins and the people gathered from the nations, who have acquired livestock and goods and dwell at the center of the earth. Sheba and Dedan and the merchants of Tarshish with all its young lions will say to you, 'Have you come to seize the spoils? Have you gathered your horde to carry off plunder — to take silver and gold, to seize livestock and goods, to carry away great plunder?'

Therefore prophesy, son of man, and say to Gog: This is what the Sovereign Father says: On that day, when my people Israel are dwelling securely, will you not take notice of it? You will come from your place in the far north, you and many peoples with you, all of them riding horses — a great horde, a mighty army. You will come up against my people Israel like a cloud covering the land. In the latter days I will bring you against my land, so that the nations may know me when I show myself holy through you before their eyes, Gog.

This is what the Sovereign Father says: Are you the one I spoke of in former days through my servants the prophets of Israel, who prophesied in those days, year after year, that I would bring you against them? On that day, the day Gog comes against the land of Israel, declares the Sovereign Father, my hot anger will flare up.

In my jealousy and the fire of my fury I declare: On that day there will be a great earthquake in the land of Israel. The fish of the sea, the birds of the sky, the beasts of the field, every creature that crawls on the ground, and every person on the face of the earth will tremble at my presence. The mountains will be thrown down, the cliffs will collapse, and every wall will fall to the ground.

I will summon a sword against Gog on all my mountains, declares the Sovereign Father, and every man's sword will turn against his brother. I will execute judgment on him with plague and bloodshed; I will pour down torrents of rain, hailstones, fire, and sulfur on him, on his troops, and on the many peoples with him. So I will show my greatness and my holiness, and make myself known in the eyes of many nations. Then they will know that I am the Father.
