Psalms 117

Book

All Nations, Come

The shortest psalm: two lines addressed not to Israel but to every nation on earth. The reason given is small and complete — our Father's covenant love toward us is great, and his faithfulness has no end.

Chapter 117.

Praise our Father, all you nations! Extol him, all you peoples! a a v1 Paul quotes this verse to show the Father always intended the nations — not Israel alone — to find their way home to him (Romans 15:11). For great is his covenant love toward us, and the faithfulness of our Father endures forever. Praise him!
