Hallelujah
An alphabet poem about the works of our Father: worth studying, deliberately made memorable, faithful and just. He feeds those who fear him and keeps his covenant permanently. The last line makes it practical — this fear is where wisdom begins.
111 1Hallelujah! I will praise our Father with all my heart, in the company of the upright and in the assembly. 2Great are the works of our Father, studied by all who delight in them. 3Splendor and majesty mark his work, and his righteousness endures forever. 4He has made his wonders to be remembered; our Father is gracious, his heart full of compassion. 5He gives food to those who fear him; he remembers his covenant forever. 6He has shown his people the power of his works, giving them the inheritance of the nations. 7The works of his hands are faithful and just; all his commands are trustworthy. 8They are upheld forever and ever, carried out faithfully and with integrity. 9He sent redemption to his people; he decreed his covenant forever. Holy and awesome is his name. 10The fear of our Father is the beginning of wisdom; all who practice it gain good understanding. His praise endures forever. a a v10 Fear here means reverent awe and deep respect, not terror or dread.
