Guilt Offerings and Restoration
6 1 Our Father spoke to Moses:
2 If anyone sins and is unfaithful to the Sovereign Father by deceiving his neighbor about something entrusted to him or left in his care, or stolen, or by cheating his neighbor, 3 or if he finds lost property and lies about it, swearing falsely—in any of these ways that a person might sin— 4 then, when he has sinned and become guilty, he must return what he stole or seized, or the deposit entrusted to him, or the lost property he found, 5 or whatever it was he swore falsely about. He must restore it in full, add a fifth of its value, and give it to the owner on the day he admits his guilt.
6 Then he must bring to the priest his compensation to the Sovereign Father: a ram without defect from the flock, of the proper value, as a guilt offering. 7 The priest will make atonement for him before the Sovereign Father, and he will be forgiven for whatever he did that made him guilty.
The Burnt Offering
8 Then our Father spoke to Moses:
9 Command Aaron and his sons: This is the law of the burnt offering. The burnt offering is to remain on the hearth atop the altar all night until morning, and the altar fire must be kept burning on it.
10 The priest is to put on his linen robe, with linen undergarments next to his body, and he must remove the ashes of the burnt offering that the fire has consumed on the altar and place them beside the altar. 11 Then he is to take off these garments, put on others, and carry the ashes outside the camp to a clean place.
12 The fire on the altar must be kept burning; it must not go out. Every morning the priest is to add wood, arrange the burnt offering on it, and burn the fat of the peace offerings on it. 13 The fire must be kept burning on the altar continually; it must not go out.
The Grain Offering
14 This is the law of the grain offering. The sons of Aaron are to present it before the Sovereign Father, in front of the altar. 15 The priest is to take a handful of the fine flour of the grain offering, with its oil and all the frankincense on it, and burn this memorial portion on the altar as a pleasing aroma to the Sovereign Father.
16 Aaron and his sons are to eat the rest of it. It must be eaten without yeast in a holy place; they are to eat it in the courtyard of the tent of meeting. 17 It must not be baked with yeast. I have given it as their share of my food offerings. Like the sin offering and the guilt offering, it is most holy. 18 Every male among Aaron's descendants may eat it. It is a lasting portion throughout your generations from the food offerings of the Sovereign Father. Whatever touches them will become holy.
The Ordination Offering
19 Our Father said to Moses:
20 This is the offering Aaron and his sons are to present to the Sovereign Father on the day he is anointed: about two quarts of fine flour as a regular grain offering, half in the morning and half in the evening. 21 Prepare it with oil on a griddle; bring it well-kneaded and present the grain offering broken in pieces as a pleasing aroma to the Sovereign Father. 22 The priest who is anointed to succeed him from among his sons is to prepare it. It is a lasting decree before the Sovereign Father: it must be burned completely. 23 Every grain offering of a priest is to be burned completely; it must not be eaten.
The Sin Offering
24 Again our Father spoke to Moses:
25 Speak to Aaron and his sons: This is the law of the sin offering. The sin offering is to be slaughtered before the Sovereign Father in the place where the burnt offering is slaughtered; it is most holy. 26 The priest who offers it for sin is to eat it; it must be eaten in a holy place, in the courtyard of the tent of meeting. 27 Whatever touches its flesh will become holy, and if any of its blood is spattered on a garment, you must wash the spattered part in a holy place.
28 The clay pot in which it is boiled must be broken; but if it is boiled in a bronze pot, that must be scoured and rinsed with water. 29 Every male among the priests may eat it; it is most holy. 30 But no sin offering may be eaten if its blood is brought into the tent of meeting to make atonement in the Holy Place; it must be burned with fire.
